According to a survey of Vizisense in this month, Gmail is the most popular e-mail service in India. Gmail break the 10 year record of Yahoo Mail. It has been found that 18 million users were attached with Gmail in September as yahoo mail has only 16.8 millions in September

Google mail is increasing its customer base month on month on other hand Yahoo email is on declining trend. In September month Gmail gained users from 17.7 million to 18 million while Yahoo email loose from 18.2 million to 16.8 million.

Market Analyst supporting the survey and say that this was very obvious phenomena. Gmail is providing tailor made services with multi language. Currently Gmail is offering in 9 different languages (Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, and Punjabi) The most effective reason for this clear win of Google is the linking of all services under one platform i.e User of Gmail account can access Gmail, Youtube, Orkut, Blogger, Google Analytics and many more feature by using one account with same password.

''The popularity of Google over the past few years has created a brand which today extends beyond just search and it is this brand that has helped strengthen Gmail's usage,'' said Prashant Mehta, chief operating officer of Komli Media Pvt Ltd, the internet ad agency that owns ViziSense.
